Colin Steel: When Saturday Comes

Once or twice a month I try to produce a visual short story based on either my current situation or travels and I call it ‘When Saturday Comes’.

On the 14th of November 2015 Saturday came unfortunately on the day after the terrorist atrocity in Paris where I was within 200 metres of the worst events. In the weeks prior to the Saturday I had been in Paris for Paris Photo and was shooting as usual but when I put together the WSC series on the day after I found it quite an emotional edit and couldn’t help but be influenced in my selection and sequence by the events of Friday 13th.
