Thousandfold Photobook Fair x Photoszene Festival Cologne

The next Thousandfold Photobook Fair will again take place during and in cooperation with the Photoszene-Festival Cologne. The Fair is organized by dienacht Association, and dienacht Publishing will have a booth.

The Photoszene Festival Cologne is a biennial photography festival that takes place throughout the city of Cologne. Since its first edition in 1984, in continuation of the picture shows organized by L. Fritz Gruber for the photokina trade fair, the participatory festival has established itself in the city and today presents numerous exhibitions on photography and related visual media every year, attracting up to 100,000 visitors.

The main curatorial program includes the Artist Meets Archive program, for which the five international artists Jimmi Wing Ka Ho, Elena Efeoglou, Marta Bogdańska, Andrés Galeano and Pauline Hafsia M'barek have worked with five Cologne archives and collections and are using their research to develop exhibitions for the festival at the Kölnisches Stadtmuseum, at the Rautenstrauch-Joest Museum, the Museum Ludwig, Cologne Cathedral and the Photographische Sammlung/SK Stiftung Kultur, as well as a group exhibition from an open call with the theme "Feelings & Photography". In addition, numerous participating exhibitions will showcase the great diversity of photography. There will also be an extensive supporting program of artist talks, guided tours, workshops and a symposium on feelings in photography in cooperation with the Academy of Media Arts.
