Thousandfold Photobook Fair x La Nuu Festival

La Nuu* Photo Festival was launched in October 2015 with the aim of making the city of Rubí an important focal point in the field of photography. Throughout October, various large-scale photo installations will be on display for all to see. Building facades and squares in the city will be transformed into museums. The concept of the festival is to use the public space to awaken the emotional involvement of the citizens of Rubí, visitors and citizens will become voluntary and involuntary spectators.

On the opening weekend there will be a photobook fair, portfolio reviews, presentations, performances and workshops.

The exhibition theme of La Nuu 2024 is "Atlas, the weight of images".
The selected photographic works are intended to show us that photography itself cannot be considered in isolation, as an isolated technical language, without taking into account the universal history of images. The exhibited works will form a unified, albeit fragmentary and open project that proposes a new network of relationships and evocations. A thinking space that makes it clear that understanding a photograph, grasping and thinking about an image, goes beyond the purely visual. To understand a photograph, it is necessary to go beyond its ontological and material boundaries and to consider the words that are not in the image.
