These are portraits that I took of my girlfriend Emma. We were watching a movie one night but it was very boring so we stopped. It was then when I said, “I will take pictures of you instead!” There are many cameras in the room, because Emma is a photographer too, so I just grabbed one and I took a few pictures with it. After that I thought I would continue shooting in this room and make a project out of it.

Lots of weird things happen during these pictures. I’d have an idea for a picture and my girlfriend would yell at me because she thinks it’s stupid, but in the end she always poses. There was also one time where we had to rip a dress apart because the fly was stuck on the back and she was suffocating. Emma’s parents or my uncle would decide to show up unexpectedly and was a problem too, just like the nosy neighbors that we have. It also happens that I ruin many pictures because I get too excited and end up covering up the flash of the disposable with my fingers.
