Kuala Lumpur International Photoawards Portrait Prize 2021

Let's put 2020 behind us and look forward to a new year and to the 13th KLPA2021 Call For Entries. This year, in an effort to be more inclusive and to reach out to the wider global photo communities, everyone may enter one image free to the SINGLE IMAGE OPEN Category.

THEME : SENSE OF SELF

How do you define yourself or someone else pictorially? What are the traits and characteristics that make a person who they are? How can you photograph these 'selfs' and make them stand out as an individual in a creative and meaningful way? Portraits can delve deep into a person's psyche and reveal what is superficially masked on the surface.

WHY ENTER?

As one of the top recommended international contests by the World Photography Organisation and Photoshelter, 50 winners and finalists will have their entries printed and exhibited at The Godown KL in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in September 2021. To increase visibility for all our finalists, and be seen by audiences from new and emerging regions, KLPA has again teamed up with several international photography organisations to present the 2021 finalists at screenings events.
